Residents: Lake access for residents of Messines
Residents of the Municipality of Messines have free access to the decontamination station and municipal boat ramps, provided they follow the steps below.
Who is considered a resident or shoreline resident?
- A resident is a person (or their spouse, child, or son/daughter-in-law) who owns or rents (lease of three months or more) a property in Messines.
- A shoreline resident is a resident whose property or home is located on the shore of a lake or waterway, or who holds a notarized right of way to a lake or waterway in Messines.
How to get your RFID access card and stickers?
- Create an account on the online portal.
- Register all your boats on the portal.
- Pay the RFID card issuance fee (see note below).
Once your account is approved, you will receive:
- An RFID card to keep (valid until December 31, renewable annually).
- A sticker to place on the bow (front) of each registered boat (for shoreline residents only).
Note: A one-time fee of $15 applies for the RFID card.
